Nebraska Governor invites Iowa and others to help fight drought

Nebraska’s been hit hard by the drought that’s drying up western Iowa, and governor Mike Johanns says he’s sent letters to governors of 21 other states urging them to work together to secure a federal aid package.He says Nebraska, like many other Western states hit by drought, can’t shoulder the burden alone. Johanns and his Nebraska state ag director urge the governors to contact their congressional delegations about the need for a federal drought-assistance package.
