Eagle Grove gets another chance at 2A title

Eagle Grove defeated Unity Christian 4-1 to advance to the 2A championship today to face Dyersville-Beckman. Beckman downed Albia 14-4 to advance. Matt Peterson’s home run ignited Eagle Grove.Eagle Grove knocked Beckman out of last year’s tournament in a 1-0 win on their way to a runner-up finish. Peterson says they hope to repeat that performance.Eagle Grove coach Bruce Rholl expect today’s game to be another close one.Rholl says they have one thing in mind after finishing second last year, to win the title.They meet today at 1 pm in Marshalltown.
