Governor says investigation of improper e-mail use not over

Governor Tom Vilsack says the investigation of state employee use of their state e-mail accounts isn’t over. He says it will end when the departments have fully investigated the issue, but there’s no timetable.Four state workers were fired last week for what Vilsack calls “offensive” e-mail.Vilsack says the vast majority of state workers are using their e-mail correctly. Vilsack says the state workers who got fired did something easily recognized as inappropriate. Vilsack says it was the subject matter that were offensive. He says at a time when they’re dealing with a difficult budget, it’s important to show they’re on the job working.
