One of western Iowa’s best-known landmarks is looking brand new after a fresh coat of paint. “Albert the Bull” in Audubon is believed to be the world’s largest bull, even though he’s made of concrete. Audubon Chamber of Commerce President Paul Fuller says the 45-ton statue needed sprucing up.The anatomically correct Albert was built in 1964. The big bull stands 30-feet tall and is 15-feet wide. Fuller says the chamber has more improvements planned to the area around the statue.Fuller says they plan to build a kiosk that will tell about the history of Albert the Bull and the City of Audubon.
