Man decides not to let head go to pot

August 5, 2002 By admin

An eastern Iowa man who was trying to use his head to make some money is going to look for an alternative idea. It appears a DeWitt man will not be renting out his scalp to sport a tattooed advertisement after all. 39-year-old Jeff Swanson came up with the idea so he could raise money for his children’s future college expenses. He listed the scalp advertising deal as an auction item on eBay. There were 74 bids but no one met Swanson’s $100,000 minimum offer. Now the auction has expired, and Swanson says he does not intend to realist it. He says he’ll try to come up with a different idea to raise money using eBay.
