Seven-year-old shot by four-year-old

August 12, 2002 By admin

A seven-year-old Council Bluffs girl underwent surgery yesterday after a four-year-old boy allegedly shot her with a shotgun. Police say the boy apparently took the gun from his grandfather’s closet and brought it outside where he, the girl and another boy were playing. The two boys were fighting over the gun when it went off, striking Cheyenne Tague in the left leg and hip. Cheyenne spent most of yesterday in surgery, and she’s listed in “serious” condition. Police have issued no citations, but they are still investigating.
