Iowa quarterback Brad Banks enters the fall as the clear number one after a big performance in the spring game. Banks says he’ll fine tune his game as the Hawkeyes prepare for the season opener. Banks played sparingly last season as he tried to learn the offense. He feels more prepared this fall, and is ready to lead the team. “I’m very confident…I’ve been doing this for a long time, so it’s nothing new to me,” Banks said. Banks said having a big, experienced offensive line makes it easier to be confident. Iowa opens the 2002 season against Akron August 31st.
