Autopsy to be done on dead 9-year-old

August 20, 2002 By admin

Authorities aren’t releasing details of an autopsy done Monday on a nine-year-old Muscatine girl. Muscatine County assistant county attorney Alan Ostergren says the girl lived with her parents and three older brothers in their farmstead outside Muscatine. The family home is a trailer with a permanent addition that he describes as a modest Iowa home for a typical farm family. Ostergren says girl’s death is “tragic.” He says officers will determine what happened as best they can and draw appropriate conclusions. He won’t say whether the investigation includes anyone outside the victim’s family at this time.
