The Northwestern College football team opens the season at home this weekend against Jamestown of North Dakota. After a trip to the N-A-I-A semifinals two years ago, the Red Raiders slumped to a 5-5 record last season and coach Orv Otten feels his team is ready to bounce back. He says they started looking forward to the new season back in November when last season ended.Otten says they have lofty goals for the season, with the main goal to win a national championship. He says that’s the mindset of the team and they’re hungry to win. Otten says 12 seniors provide a strong nucleus for the team.
