Police search for man who robbed Atlantic bank

September 10, 2002 By admin

Authorities in western Iowa are looking for a bank robber. It was around one yesterday afternoon when a man walked into the First Whitney Bank and Trust Drive-in in Atlantic, showed the teller a gun and demanded cash. The man left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money, heading southbound on foot. Atlantic Police Chief Roger Muri says state and local officials are looking for a single suspect: a white man in his 20’s who was wearing blue jeans, a white t-shirt and green ball cap.
