Central opens season with tough foe

Central College opens the football season on Saturday with a visit to perennial power Augustana of Illinois. Central coach Rich Kacmarynski feels it is a good way to open the season. He says it jump starts the season practice wise and gives them a measuring stick of where they’re at.Central needed a new quarterback for this season and Kacmarynski has decided on a starter. Derrick Livingston, a sophomore from Winterset, will get the call.Kacmarynski says an experienced offensive line will be a plus for a young quarterback.
