Two from Kansas die in accident

Two out-of-staters were killed in a wreck in eastern Iowa on Tuesday.A Kansas couple died yesterday afternoon in a head-on crash on Interstate 80 in west Davenport. Killed were 76-year-old William Weis and 74-year-old Dorothy Weis, of Salina. Their eastbound car crossed the median near the I-80/I-280 interchange and struck an oncoming car before crashing into a semi-trailer. A witness says William Weis died instantly. His wife died moments later. The drivers of the other vehicles were not injured. The Iowa State Patrol is continuing its investigation.
