Stolen ATM found in Cass County

September 13, 2002 By admin

An ATM missing from a Griswold bank has been located. Cass County chief deputy Bill Sage says officers found the machine on a county road seven miles southwest of Griswold. Sage says it doesn’t look like any money was taken from the machine, and today it’s at the DCI crime lab in Des Moines. Investigators are also looking at bank security cameras, hoping to find a picture of the suspects. Early Thursday morning, someone apparently tied a chain around the machine and pulled it through the front door of the Rolling Hills bank in Griswold. Sage says they don’t have any suspects yet but think more than one person was responsible for stealing the machine.
