A man and woman are jailed today on charges of making illegal drugs. Two northeast Iowa residents face meth-making charges after members of the Rural Area Interdiction Detail task force say they saw them trying to steal anhydrous ammonia from a storage tank in northern Buchanan County Friday. A task force officer says he followed the two into Fayette County and found a meth lab inside their vehicle. Arrested were 12-year-old Brian Turner of Waterloo and 33-year-old Barbara Schaefer of Oelwein. Both were charged with having possession of ingredients used to make methamphetamine. More arrests are expected.
