UNI extends volleyball winning streak

September 19, 2002 By admin

The seventh ranked Northern Iowa volleyball team extended its home court winning streak to 49-matches by defeating Iowa last night in three straight games. U-N-I coach Bobbi Peterson says the Panthers finished strong after a slow start.A sold out crowd in the West Gym as well as a closed circuit audience nearby witnessed the Panther’s first home match of the year. She says they had a lot of adrenalin in the first match, and that probably led to some early errors.
