Buchanan County sees four meth busts in two weeks

September 30, 2002 By admin

Buchanan County’s seen a rash of meth lab discoveries recently. The latest was found Friday at an Independence apartment. A woman returned to her apartment and found two male friends cooking up meth in her kitchen. She called police and the men left. Police evacuated the apartment building for three hours as a precaution. One woman was taken to the hospital after experiencing throat problems that’re believed to be related to the fumes from the meth lab. The two men who were allegedly cooking the meth are still being sought. It was the fourth meth lab bust in Buchanan County in the last two weeks.
