It’s a battle of the Valleys tonight in high school football

Also in 1A, seventh-ranked Wapsie Valley takes on number-eight Turkey Valley. Wapsie was knocked out of the top spot in the rankings after a loss to St. Ansgar and coach Tony Foster says to bounce back they will need to do a better job stopping the run, something they didn’t do against St. Ansgar.Turkey Valley coach Travis Fleshner expects to face a motivated oppoinent.He says they have to play well as it is also Wapsie’s homecoming. Fleshner says there are several things his team must do to get the win. He says they have to stay away from the big play on defense, and to have a chance to win, control the ball on offense.
