UNI plays with back against the wall

October 25, 2002 By admin

The 17th ranked Northern Iowa Panthers hope they have gained momentum from a victory over Youngstown State wen they host Illinois State. The Panthers have been good in the dome over the years but at 1-2 in the Gateway coach Mark Farley says his team cannot bank on any advantage. Farley says the 7 point advantage the team normally has in the UNI-Dome is now void. He says they have to line up and be ready to go for every game. Farley says with junior college transfer Mike Souza the Redbirds will try to air it out. UNI is 4-3 overall.
