Half of the playoff spots are still up for grabs heading into the final night of the high school football regular season. In class 3A, second-ranked Harlan and third-ranked Atlantic are both headed for the playoffs but tonight the teams matchup in Atlantic for the district eight title. Harlan coach Curt Bladt says they will have to contend with Atlantic’s size advantage. Bladt says the Cyclone defense will need to contain Atlantic quarterback Brett Meyer. North Fayette coach Ron Wymer says under coach Bruce Wall the Jesup program has made major strides.Wymer says the Hawks need to play their game, and can’t worry about what they might do.Jesup coach Bruce Wall says the players have worked hard to turn the program around and he says they deserve a lot of the credit for the good record.Wall says the North Fayette offense will be tough to stop, as they run the wing-T and have three good backs.
