November 4, 2002 By admin

The Iowa State Cyclones face another two-game road trip against rated teams with a trip to 12th ranked Kansas State. Iowa State will be in search of its first victory in this series since 1993.McCarney says the Cyclones will need a big effort to get a victory on Saturday.Cyclone assistant Bobby Elliott is the Wildcats’ defensive co-ordinator but McCarney say Elliott’s knowledge of the Iowa State system should not be a factor. He says they had the same thing as Nick Quartero went to Kansas after serving as ISU’s wide receivers coach. The Cyclones are 7-3 and ranked 21st.
