Iowa and two neighboring states were rattled Sunday afternoon by a minor earthquake. Julie Martinez is a geophysicist at the National Earthquake Information Center in Denver, Colorado. Martinez says the center was keeping close tabs on the quake.It measured four-point-three on the Richter scale and was felt in parts of Iowa, South Dakota and Nebraska. The center was near O’Neill, Nebraska. Martinez says a quake of this magnitude typically does little damage, except maybe to plaster walls and picture frames.No injuries were reported. A larger quake yesterday was also felt in Alaska that did some damage to an oil pipeline.
