Three charged with stealing baby formula in Manchester

November 13, 2002 By admin

Three people are under arrest for stealing expensive baby formula from a store in Manchester. Employees of the Manchester Wal-Mart store called police to report they thought the three had stolen the Enfamil brand formula. Officers stopped the suspects car on Highway 20 seven miles west of town. When police searched the car ,they found more than 140 cans of Enfamil, and also seized an undisclosed amount of cash, and other related evidence. All three told officers they live in Houston, Texas, but officials think they’re in the country illegally from Mexico, and have called in the I-N-S to see if the agency wants to deport the three. The defendants are being held in the Delaware County jail.
