Grinnell opens conference play

December 6, 2002 By admin

The Grinnell College men’s basketball team opens the Midwest Conference race tomorrow at Lake Forest. The Pioneers are once again scoring at a dizzying pace and are averaging just over 140-points per game in a 2-1 start to the season.Grinnell coach Dave Arsenault says a slow start to the season by Lake Forest is a bit misleading as they have three seniors starting and several young players who’ll get better.Arsenault says they have spent a lot of time preparing for the Lake Forest style.
