Iowa opens own tourney

The Iowa Hawkeyes open their own tournament tonight with a game against Montana State. The Hawkeyes committed 24-turnovers in Monday night’s loss against Florida State’s pressure defense and coach Steve Alford says his team will face a different style this evening. He says they let you reverse the ball, but pack in the post and try to take things away off the dribble. Alford says the Bobcats will make the Hawkeyes work on defense.Alford expects Montana State to be a tough first round opponent as they’ve already gotten a big win over Washington.Jacksonville and Southern Mississippi meet in the other first round game.
