ISU could get some help in the middle

December 17, 2002 By admin

Iowa State’s limited depth should get a boost with the addition of center Chris Alexander. The transfer from Indian Hills was one of the trop junior college centers in the country and averaged 12-points and eight rebounds per game last year. The seven-foot Aklexander was ineligible for the first semester and will be eligible on Saturday. Cyclone coach Larry Eustachy says they’re just a sprained ankle away from not being very good, so they can use help. Eustachy who says Alexander may play in Sunday’s game against Drake. He says he’ll put him in if there’s a chance that he can help, but he says Alexander hasn’t been able to practice and has lost a lot of weight. The Cyclones are 7-1.
