UNI is home in the Dome looking for win

Two teams in need of a boost meet in the UNI-Dome tonight as Northern Iowa hosts Illinois State in Missouri Valley Conference play. The Panthers arte 3-7 overall and 0-2 in the Valley. Coach Greg McDermott says they need to get the season turned around in a hurry. He says they need to protect their home floor after a disapointing performance on the road.McDermott says the players continue to have a positive attitude, and says they’ve practiced very well.Illinois State is 1-9 and coach Tom Richardson says stopping U-N-I’s inside duo of David Gruber and Matt Schneiderman is a key. He says they also can’t let some of the other guys hurt them.
