Iowa linebacker says coach will likely be back

January 15, 2003 By admin

Iowa junior linebacker Grant Steen is confident Kirk Ferentz will remain the Hawkeye’s head coach. Ferentz is reportedly one of the candidates to become the next coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars. Steen has not spoken directly with Ferentz about the situation but feels he will be the head coach for his senior season.Steen, who’s an Emmetsburg native, says the coach’s actions lead him to believe he is not leaving. He says Ferentz is still recruiting and that shows he’s going to stay.
