Waterloo man faces drug charges

January 15, 2003 By admin

A Waterloo man who’s also a Cuban citizen has been convicted of federal drug charges. 44-year-old Joaquin (Wah-keen) Caballero (Cab-uh-lair-row) was found guilty of conspiring to distribute meth and aiding and abetting in the distribution of meth after a one-day trial. A DCI agent testified he bought a half pound of meth from Caballero last year at Cabellero’s apartment in Waterloo. Officials are asking the public for help in locating a man believed to have worked with Caballero, 28-year-old Horatico Garcia, who had also been living in Waterloo.
