Garnavillo man charged with bank fraud

January 16, 2003 By admin

A Clayton County man is charged with bank fraud for allegedly misusing bank loans. 34-year-old Ricky Funk of Garnavillo is accused of taking out more than 20 loans between September of 1997 and September of 2000 to purchase cattle. Investigators says Funk allegedly pocketed some of the money instead of buying cattle. And, they say when he did buy cattle, he sometimes sold the cattle and failed to use the proceeds to repay the loans.
