Western Dubuque music department is finalist for big award

January 18, 2003 By admin

The Western Dubuque High School Music Department has been selected as a national finalist in the Grammy System schools program. School officials learned this week that both the band and vocal programs were chosen among the nation’s top 100. They applied last November, sending in audio and videotapes of recent performances by vocal and instrumental groups. The school hopes to get its final results by late February or early March.
