Oskaloosa Post Office for sale

January 22, 2003 By admin

The building which now houses the Oskaloosa Post Office is being put up for auction this week on the Internet website e-Bay. The minimum bid will be set at 300-thousand dollars, while the building and land are assessed at 550-thousand. The city is losing several thousand dollars every year by leasing the building to the federal government. The buyer would have to agree to a lease that would allow the post office to stay in the building for the next 30 years.
