Cedar Falls man dies after fall from bridge

A 24-year-old Cedar Falls man died over the weekend after tumbling from a bridge in Waterloo. Waterloo police say Matthew Swett apparently fell from the Mullan Avenue Bridge onto the icy Cedar River early Saturday. A passing motorist found Swett on the ice and called police. He later died at a hospital. The death is being ruled accidental.
