ISU men go on the road

January 29, 2003 By admin

The Iowa State Cyclones are on the road in the Big-12 to take on eighth-ranked Oklahoma State. Cyclone coach Larry Eustachy says Gallagher-Iba is as tough a road venue as there is and says there is no way to adequately prepare for it. He says it’s like shooting a free-throw during practice, it’s not the same during the game and you can’t recreate that atmsphere. He says you have to use time outs when runs start and be confident with the team. The Cowboys are 5-0 in the league race, 16-1 overall and coach Eddie Sutton admits the season has been a pleasant surprise. But Sutton says it is way too early to think about a league title. He says Texas is playing well right now, Oklahoma is getting better and Kansas is still strong.
