ISU women look for upset

January 29, 2003 By admin

The Iowa State women will bid for an upset tonight when they host third-ranked Kansas State in Big-12 action. The Cyclones are 2-3 in conference action after posting a victory at Nebraska. Iowa State coach Bill Fennelly says the Wildcats are 18-1 and ranked third for a reason. The Cyclones played well in the first matchup at K-State before falling 68-60. He says they were able to slow down the tempo of the game in that meeting and made some shots. Kansas State coach Deb Patterson is expecting another close game. Patterson says the teams matchup evenly from a physical standpoint.
