Clarke men close in on winning season

The Clarke College men’s basketball team is on the verge of posting its first winning season in the 18 years of the program’s existence. The Crusaders are 12-9 heading into tonight’s game at home against Rockford College. Clarke coach Jon Davison says if they’d been healthy all year long, they may’ve done that earlier. The Crusaders will be without one of their starting guards who has a pulled hamstring. Davison says that does throw a wrench into the schedule.Rockford is 20-2 and won the first matchup with the Crusaders by six.Clarke is 12-9 on the season.
