February 5, 2003 By admin

It was a nine point loss for Northern Iowa but the game was much closer than that. The Panthers stayed right with Creighton Tuesday night in Missouri Valley conference play but the 13th ranked Blue Jays made the key shots in the final moments of an 84-75 victory in Omaha. Freshman Ben Jacobsen’s career high 26 points. David Gruber added 14 but fouled out with just under three minutes to play. UNI is now 3-8 and 6-13.
