Military leave behind need for blood donors

The men and women leaving Iowa to go on federal active duty with the military are leaving behind jobs and families and also a void in many other ways. Danna Lens is a spokesperson for the American Red Cross Chapter that serves eastern Iowa.She says the people who’re going on active duty are people who’ve donated blood in the past and they need people to fill the void now. Lens says the Red Cross needs blood in peacetime and war.
