The Northern Iowa Panthers are on the road in the Missouri Valley conference tonight as they visit Southern Illinois. U-N-I lost the first matchup with the Salukis in overtime at home, and coach Greg McDermott says getting revenge won’t be easy in Carbondale, as SIU is playing with a lot of confidence and has an aura about them that they’re never out of any game. McDermott says Southern is a veteran team that knows how to win.Creighton has received much of the attention this season but the Salukis are right in the hunt for the Valley title. Saluki coach Bruce Weber says they’ve done some things this year they didn’t do last year, but he says it’s how you finish that counts. Weber expects U-N-I to be ready to play as they’ve given everyone tough games.
