Kids in 4-H from around the state flooded the statehouse today with displays depicting their public service projects. A handful of members of “Packwood Trojans” club showcased a project they undertook in December. Thirteen-year-old Kayla Northrup says their Christmas “Caroling for Cans” project collected food for churches and food pantries that serve the needy.Thirteen-year-old Britney Milligan, also of Packwood, was along to tout 4-H, too.Milligan says 4-H is fun. She says “you get to meet lots of people, show animals and learn to be more responsible.”
