Cedar Rapids man faces charges after chase

March 13, 2003 By admin

A Cedar Rapids man faces numerous charges after a chase in eastern Iowa. The chase began when Linn County Sheriff’s Deputies tried to pull over the car driven by 20-year-old James Posposil at a rural intersection near Central City. Posposil led police on a chase that ended when his car got stuck in a field in southern Delaware County. Posposil stayed on the run for about three hours after his car got stuck. Posposil is charged with having precursors for manufacturing meth, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving without a license and insurance and numerous traffic violations. An 18-year-old passenger Randy Thompson of Cedar Rapids was charged with possession of precursors for manufacturing meth and possession of drug paraphernalia.
