Loras looks for improvement on diamond

March 27, 2003 By admin

The Loras College baseball team is looking to better last year’s finish in which they tied for seventh in the Iowa Conference race. The Duhawks are off to a good start after winning eight of nine games on a trip to Florida. The Duhawk pitching staff has a walk-to-strikeout ratio of just over three to one and Loras coach Carl Tebon feels that is a big part of their success.Tebon says it is a pitching staff with quality depth. Tebon is hoping they can become one of the contenders for the league title this spring.
