Waterloo wins first game of series with Des Moines

The Waterloo Blackhawks took game one of their best-of-five quarterfinal round U-S Hockey Leage playoff series with the Des Moines Buccaneers. Waterloo used a 57-23 advantage in shots on goal in a 6-3 victory. Waterloo coach P.K. O’Handley says it was good to get the jump in the series. He says they have to win the second game now to keep the advantage.Game two is tomorrow night in Des Moines.
