UNI coach happy to be back in the UNI-Dome this Spring

April 8, 2003 By admin

Northern Iowa football coach Mark Farley is especially grateful for the UNI-Dome these days. A year ago Dome repairs forced the Panthers to hold spring drills outside and Farley says, despite the bad weather, they were able to hold a productive scrimmage last weekend. He says last season it was tough to have a productive scrimmage every day, but this year they have tapes of good scrimmages.Farley says the veterans stood out during the early part of drills, which is what he expected.Farley expects some of the younger players to make strides this week, and he says he hopes more will rise up as they get comfortable with their roles.UNI’s spring game is April 26th.
