UNI ready for major scrimmage

April 17, 2003 By admin

Northern Iowa will hold its second major scrimmage of the spring tomorrow in the UNI-Dome. A key for the Panthers next season will be the development of an offensive line that has just one starter returning. Coach Mark Farley says the way you call and block the plays depends on the talent that you have.Junior-to-be Tom Petrie is firmly established as the starting quarterback and Farley says he’s having a good spring. Farley says Petrie is very solid in his position and has been making some quick decisions that show he’s taking charge. U-N-I’s spring game is April 26th.
