Woman fired from Maquoketa Valley job after money goes missing

April 17, 2003 By admin

It’s still unclear how much money vanished but an eastern Iowa woman has lost her job because of it. An employee of the Maquoketa Valley School District has been fired after an investigation of misappropriation of money from a school account. In a closed session, the school board this week decided to terminate Linda Knutson from her position as an activity and food service bookkeeper. Knutson had been placed on paid leave in February after discrepancies were found in the account.
