Suspect named in fatal hit-and-run in Pottawattamie County

April 22, 2003 By admin

The Pottawattamie County Sheriff’s office has named a suspect in last week’s hit and run that killed a teenager. Eighteen-year-old Tyson McCain of Hancock was walking home from a party last Thursday night on a gravel road near Oakland when he was run over. McCain later died at an Omaha hospital. The sheriff’s office says 20-year-old Hillary Harrill, who had been at the same party, was driving the car that hit McCain. Harrill is suspected of drunk driving but no charges have been filed. The Pottawattamie County Attorney is still investigating the incident.
