Grinnell boxer Jimmy Crawford returns to national television Friday night in Atlantic City. Crawford is scheduled to fight Elvir Miriqui in a lightheavyweight bout carried by E-S-P-N two. Crawford’s last fight was back on May ninth when he defeated Vance Wynn in Osceola. He calls him a tough veteran fighter who gave him a good test.Crawford has a 38-4 record while the 29-year-old Miriqui sports a mark of 26-1. He says this is a great opportunity to fight a great fighter and to prove he’s still able to fight.Crawford says he and Miriqui have a lot of similarities, including the same types of movement.The bout will take place at the Tropicana Casino.
