Le Mars man dies after being pinned under truck

June 25, 2003 By admin

A northwest Iowa man’s died after he was trapped under a pickup truck yesterday in Linn County. Linn County Sheriff’s Deputies answering a call to Center Point found 28-year-old Corey Campbell of LeMars under a truck which he’d apparently put up on a 2-wheel dolly so he could tow it. Campbell unhooked the truck’s drive shaft and it apparently fell on him and pinned him under the vehicle. Taken to the Cedar Rapids hospital, Campbell later died. An employee of the Dish Network, Campbell was reportedly in town to interview a man applying for a job with the company.
