Foul play suspected in Charles City death

Authorities say foul play is suspected in the death of a 23-year-old Charles City man whose body was found inside a burning home in that Floyd County town. Firefighters responded to a report of a fire in a home in Charles City during the six o’clock hour yesterday morning where they found the body of Jason Kapping. Authorities have not released the cause of death or what caused the fire. A press release states that law enforcement does suspect foul play and numerous leads are being investigated at this time. The State Fire Marshall’s office and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation are involved in the investigation.
