A Creston High School student was one of ten Iowa and Illinois students earning a seed capital grant of five hundred dollars after winning a business plan competition sponsored by the John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center at the University of Iowa. Brad Fogle developed his business idea into a plan and presented the idea in front of a panel of several judges. His business plan was for an on-line web media portal for on-line games. Fogle says he has to register a website domain name and buy some software before developing the plan. There was no fee to attend the camp, which is made possible through a grant from the William Zimmerman Foundation of Fairfield, Iowa. In their application, students have to submit an essay about what king of business they wanted to start. Why they wanted to attend the camp and included other business experience and academic background.
